Mission 1: The Two-step Dance
The Two-step dance will consist of several steps made by the robots on a dance floor. The dance floor is laid out by two 1' x 1' step boxes which are located 1' away from each other. The step boxes are labeled Right and Left. The audience is located in front of the boxes. The robot will start out in the Right step box facing the audience with its head facing forward and its arm up.
The Two-step motions are as follows:
-
Move to the Left step box and while facing the audience:
- Make one distinctive nod of your head to the right
- Make two distinctive nods of your head to the left
-
Move to the Right step box and while facing the audience:
- Make your arm touch the floor and leave it down
- Bow your head facing the audience and leave it down
Please note that for the robot to be counted inside a step box, it must have at least one point of visual contact, wheels or rear caster, with the step box. Judges decisions are final.
